Hi, I’m Matt a self-taught photographer with a love for capturing interesting moments and the people behind them.

I originally got into photography through wildlife, where I learned to slow down, pay attention, and look for those moments that are worth capturing. More recently, I’ve found myself bringing my camera to conventions and discovering how much I enjoy photographing cosplay.

A big part of what makes cosplay photography fun for me is the people. I’m a gamer and an anime fan myself, so conventions are a great place to meet people who share the same interests. I also have a couple of friends who cosplay, which gave me an even greater appreciation for how much time, creativity, and effort goes into bringing a character to life.

I love seeing the details people put into their costumes and the excitement that comes from capturing them. One of my favorite parts of photography is sending someone their finished images and seeing that they’re genuinely happy with how they turned out. That reaction is a big reason I keep bringing my camera to conventions.

Most of my cosplay photography happens naturally at conventions, where I’m always on the lookout for interesting costumes, fun moments, and great people to photograph. I’m also open to doing dedicated cosplay sessions for anyone who wants something a little more planned and personalized.
